Disk drive abuse

My Seagate FreeAgent Go disk drive has been frozen for 59 days.  It’s getting warmer, so I needed to come up with a new form of abuse.

I put on my skates and did my worst.

The surface area of my skate blades are .35 square inches each, which means I was applying over 400 pounds per square inch of pressure standing on one foot.  Stomping on the drive was even more abusive.

Can anyone tell me the downward impact of a slapshot?

    Hey Pete,

    When do you plan de-freezing the drive? I can’t wait…. :)

The rink’s softening up. The sun’s getting a lot stronger now. I think it’s going to be mid-March. Stay tuned!
