Cisco’s vision goes beyond IT

I was struck by the similarity between MIT’s vision of the PC in 2019 and Cisco’s Unified Computing vision for data centers.  Both bring connectivity to the front, with processing as a means to an end.
Om Malik’s term “commputer” summarizes it nicely.
